Hello, I'm Annie. A Service and UX designer based in Sydney.
I completed the UX Design course at Academy Xi in 2019 and have been continuing my professional development with industry training.
Fresh out of uni, I started working as a management consultant. The projects I worked on were always on the edge of UX design, with activities such as: UX research, user interviews, usability testing, collaborating with developers and a heavy emphasis on design thinking. However, I always felt my work stopped short of something that made me feel complete. Through networking with clients, colleagues and designers at meet ups, I quickly came to realise that extra something was the gap between requirements and design.
When I first heard of the terms 'UX Designer', 'Service Designer' and ‘Product Designer’, they felt new and familiar at the same time. It was a lightbulb moment where I finally realised which direction I wanted my career to go in and I'm excited to see where it takes me.

The creative process puts me right in my zone. It's so satisfying to see the end product of what you create.
I taught myself how to crochet two years ago watching YouTube tutorials and teaching myself to read crochet patterns. I've since helped many crochet animals find loving homes.
I am obsessed with any type of plant that I am able to propagate or germinate. I'm currently propagating over 50 avocado seeds - hope they grow to be big and strong! Check out my plant diary instagram.
I've been bouldering for over two years now. Despite being afraid of heights, I enjoyed it enough to keep at it. After many, many months, I found my confidence on the wall and my passion for climbing!
